Well, well…
We have made it to the Brisbane semi-finals of Emergenza. Thanks so much to all the people who came down on Sunday and made this possible: you are the best!
So now, on Thursday 17 September, we will be competing at the Hi-Fi Bar (in Brisbane’s West End) @ 8pm… Come down and GET IN IT!
It’s about time everyone got behing local music in Australia. Start by coming down and lending your hands and ears to some mates.
I hope to see you all there!
The details are:
Thursday 17th September
8PM @ the HiFi Bar
125 Boundary St, West End
Brisbane, QLD

I’ll try and keep this as short as possible.
Run For A Bus is competing in the BIGGEST band competition in the world. It’s called Emergenza, and it tours 140 cities world wide. This year is the first year Brisbane has been included, and, Run For A Bus has been asked to play.
The short of it is: in each city, there are heats, semi finals, and the final. The heats and semi final are judged SOLEY by votes on the night. Therefore, we need as many of you lovely people there as possible – the more votes, the bigger the chance that we move further in the competition.
The winners of each city win guitars (plural), really shmick drum equipment, microphones, and other much needed music gear. HOWEVER, the real deal is this – the winners of Brisbane will move on to play in MELBOURNE and/or SYDNEY at the national final.
The winners of the national final get flown to Europe to compete in the world final, where they will play in front of a potential 20,000 people. If that isn’t good enough, first place receives a trip to Santa Monica, California, where they stay for 6 weeks – recording an album with top notch producers. YEAAAHHHHH DAWG!
We would love and appreciate anyone and everyone’s attendance. Our heat is on 19th July, 2009.
Bring friends, bring family, bring anyone you can think of!
If not for the music, come and check out the Hi-Fi Bar – Brisbane’s newest gig spot. If there was ever a RUN FOR A BUS gig you should see – it’s this one.
Unfortunately, admission isn’t free – it’s $13/person. But, really, that’s pretty much the same as paying for a Maxi Popcorn chicken combo at KFC. So, why not forego a lunch of mouth watering, incredibly tasty bite-size bits of fried chicken, and use the money to come support us.
If you would like a ticket, please contact any of the members of the band:
Anthony – 0401 332 343
Tom – 0415 463 203
Hughie – 0423 682 316
Andy – 0401 203 979
Or email me at: anthonysalsone@hotmail.com
If you’d like, we can organise so that you can grab your ticket off me at the venue, an hour before the performance. Let me know if this is your preferred pick-up. PLEASE note, this will only be an option to those who contact me prior to the pick up.

Greetings family, friends, recent acquaintances and all who don’t fit into any of these categories.
In all sincerity, none of us here at RunForABus expected last night to progress as it did. Somehow, amongst all the talent that was present last night, RunForABus managed to win both the supporter’s vote, the judge’s decision and hence the overall competition.
It goes without saying, yet needs to be expressed, how grateful we are to all of you that showed up to support us last night.
It was so insanely fun for us as a band, and I hope that you all enjoyed it equally as much. It was the efforts and support given by you guys that made the win possible. From shouting, to jumping, and even just being there to fill the room – every little bit of support counts – so for that, we thank you all.
We would also like to thank our families for supporting us so intensely, and the other bands that competed last night – namely, The Kents, who received the runner-up award.
Thanks again, so very, very much!
Lots of love, on behalf of the boys from RunForABus,
Anthony
Check out the video of us being announced as the winner… YEEAAAHHH DAWG

P.S: If you have any photos or videos, can you please upload them or send them to me, and tag us
thanks
Last night, RunForABus took to the stage for the first time. We had no expectations, nor did we have any idea how the night would turn out – we just approached it with one simple idea: have fun. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that, yes, we achieve this simple goal – and, it’s thanks to all of you that showed up to support us.
At such short notice, any band, especially one as young as ours, would be happy with even just a handful of friends. Yet, you guys went one better. One by one – group by group, friends and family of RunForABus arrived at the venue. By the time we were set to start our set, the room was filled with familiar faces.
Playing to such a close group of friends was amazing – the room was electric. The guitars barely overpowered the cheering you guys threw at us.
So, I’d just like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for coming down and supporting us. It means so much. I’m sure not many bands get shown such a successful first performance, so for that, we are so grateful.
We won both the supporters vote, and also the judge’s decision.
Winning our heat means we have progressed to the semi final which is being held at the same place on 27th MARCH. We will be against the other 3 heat winners. Seeing as this has been started – why not finish it, so, COME DOWN AND SUPPORT RUN FOR A BUS. Dance, shout, mosh, sing, and throw abuse, anything you want! Let’s just make this semi final worth it. Tell friends, tell family, tell people you hate – just tell everyone – come support RunForABus and help get us to the final.
Once again, thank you so much for all coming – it was unbelievable.
Lots of love, on behalf of Run For A Bus,
Anthony
P.S: I’ll send out official invites for the semi in the next week. Feel free to forward them on and invite anyone you can think of.
Hey Guys,
Just a quick post to let you know that I’ve uploaded Nintendo to the playlist (as you can probably see)… The video for this will be done soon, so keep an eye out… It’s different, in a colourful sort of way..
Peace,
Anthony
In the near future, RunForABus will be releasing their second EP. The release date, name, and final track list for this are still undecided, however the recording process is certainly underway.
Without giving too much away, this EP promises to show a completely different side to RFAB, while at the same time, providing catchy line after catchy line. (Yeaaaaaaahh Dawg!)
So if you’re not a fan already, why not become one so that when the EP is, in fact, finished, you’ll be the first to know and hear it. (Also, yeaaaaaaaah Dawg!)
Lots of Love,
Anthony
P.s: keep your eyes peeled for a new video for “Nintendo,” one of the bands B-Side releases.
